Algajola is a small seaside resort on a human scale located between Calvi and Ile Rousse, in the heart of the Balagne region in Corsica. This village has a rich heritage built over the centuries and through the history of the island of beauty. The village was built on the site of an ancient Phoenician city. A real strategic place, it was fortified by the Genoese, after the sacking of the city by the Ottomans.

The train
A ride on the « Micheline » (the name of the little train) or on the « trinichellu » ? The small station of Algajola is just below our hotel. Dont worry about the noise pollution, its a small train that runs slowly and only during the day.
Its first mission in summer is to serve the beaches between Calvi and Ile Rousse like a shuttle on rails. It will be difficult to resist the temptation to stop at each stop to discover the charm of each of our beaches.
If you wish, this little train will allow you to leave the coast of Balagne to join Bastia and Ajaccio.
