Four days of music between the sea and the maquis: Jazz in Calvi is back this year for a new edition set between Calvi and the village of Lumio, in the heart of the Balagne region. The lineup brings together seasoned names and emerging voices, intimate concerts and large ensembles, with a spirit of exchange that flows naturally between the stage and the audience.
The vibe? A festival on a human scale, where you move from a concert hall to a vineyard, from a spontaneous jam session to a talk on the science of music and the brain.

Tuesday, June 23 — Concert Hall, Calvi The Lucas Ornano Quartet kicks things off with Viaghjazz, a musical journey crafted by Fabienne Marcangeli.
Wednesday, June 24 — Spazziu Laetitia Casta, Lumio The BB13 Big Band takes over the stunning setting of Lumio for a full-scale evening of jazz.
Thursday, June 25 — At 5 PM, the Enclos des Anges vineyard hosts an unexpected conversation: Dr. Thierry Dufour explores the fascinating connections between music and neuroscience. — That evening, the Calvi concert hall comes alive with a jam session featuring Couleur Terre Trio and vibraphone legend Dany Doriz.
Friday, June 26 — Spazziu Laetitia Casta, Lumio A closing night to remember, with the Fabrice Tarel & Mark Soper duo followed by the William Chabbey Quartet bringing the festival to a high note.

Every summer for over three decades, the village of Patrimonio spends one week as the world capital of guitar. Les Nuits de la Guitare is that slightly magical moment when one of Corsica's most beautiful vineyards welcomes world-class artists under the stars — guitar virtuosos, rock legends, genre-defying voices — in a setting that exists nowhere else on earth.
Eight evenings, wildly different musical worlds, and yet one common thread running through it all: the guitar as a guide, Corsica as the backdrop.

Lama Film Festival 2026
Lama Film Festival — July 25–31, 2026 · 32nd edition
Some places give cinema a whole new meaning. Lama is one of them. Every summer since 1994, this small village in Upper Corsica becomes an open-air cinema, where films are watched under the stars and conversations carry on long after the credits roll.
Born from the initiative of a handful of film-loving locals, the festival has grown into one of the most distinctive film events in the Mediterranean — one that has never forgotten its roots, and still holds on to that village warmth as its most defining quality.
🎬 What's on
Around twenty feature films shown in world or national premiere, a short film competition, documentaries, and a dedicated spotlight on Corsican cinema. Alongside the screenings: round tables, talks, industry meetings, workshops, and a programme for children.
A full week where the seventh art spills into the alleyways, the village squares and the star-filled sky above Lama — films that entertain, challenge, move and make you think.

The International Theatre Encounters 2026
The International Theatre Encounters — July 12 to August 9, 2026
Something quietly remarkable has been happening every summer for 28 years in the village of Pioggiola, in the Giussani valley. Under the direction of Robin Renucci, L'ARIA brings together actors, technicians, amateurs and professionals of all ages for four weeks around a shared adventure: making theatre in the open air, deep in the heart of Corsica's Regional Natural Park.
No stage, no curtain, no theatre walls. The scenery here is century-old chestnut trees, village squares, gardens, wash houses and mountain slopes. The set design is the valley itself.
🎭 A workshop, a collective journey
The programme combines morning exercise workshops with afternoon production workshops. The goal isn't to produce quickly, but to take time — to absorb a text, a place, a presence. The teaching approach is built on both rigour and kindness, two words that capture the spirit of L'ARIA rather well.
Throughout the weeks, participants meet local residents and engage with the surrounding territory, in a spirit of popular education that has been at the heart of the festival since its very beginning.
What you'll work on: classical and contemporary texts, different acting styles and registers, outdoor performance techniques, building a teaching progression, and acquiring the tools to run your own theatre workshop.
The programme ends with a public performance — the moment when everything built together comes to life in front of a real audience.

FESTIVOCE IN PIGNA — July 15–18, 2026
Tucked away in the village of Pigna, in Upper Corsica, Festivoce has kept the same promise since 1991: bringing together music from around the world in a setting that could only belong to Corsica. Every summer, the stone alleyways and shaded squares of the village transform into living stages, where voices and instruments speak across cultures — from the Mediterranean to the far corners of the globe.
This year: four days of festival, a stellar lineup, and the kind of warm atmosphere that matches the Corsican summer perfectly. That's all it takes for Pigna to become, for one weekend, one of the best places to be.

14 July fireworks
🎆 Bastille Day Fireworks in the Balagne
The Balagne coastline is one of the best spots in Corsica to celebrate July 14th: Calvi, Île-Rousse and Algajola traditionally all set off their fireworks on the same evening, making for a particularly festive night along the entire coast.
In Calvi, the celebrations unfold in two acts: fireworks launched from the harbour breakwater around 11 PM, followed by a sound and light show on the citadel ramparts. The city broadcasts the accompanying music live on Radio Calvi (RCC 91.7 FM).
In Île-Rousse, the meeting point is the beach at La Marinella from 11 PM onwards, for a fireworks display set to music.
In Algajola, the tradition is equally well established, though exact timings tend to vary from one year to the next.

🎆 Assumption Day Fireworks in the Balagne — August 15
August 15th is no ordinary evening in the Balagne. As the Feast of the Assumption and the day of Calvi's patron saint, it is one of the highlights of the summer along this stretch of coastline — and once again, the whole coast lights up.
In Calvi, the evening is particularly spectacular: fireworks are launched from the ramparts of the Citadel at 11 PM, paired with a sound and light show projected onto the ancient stone walls, retracing the history of the city. The display is offered by the municipality, and can also be enjoyed in sync with the music broadcast live on Radio Calvi (RCC 91.7 FM).
In Algajola, August 15th is equally marked by a traditional fireworks display, continuing the summer celebrations.
In Île-Rousse, the Assumption Day festivities also animate the town, though the detailed programme tends to vary from year to year.
